What is different in Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville™ on Nintendo Switch?

• Discover Giddy Park (in private mode), PvE free-roam regions, and Private Play modes – all without an internet connection. 

• Use motion controls for aiming, with a full range of settings to customize to your preference. Interact with UI touch menus throughout the game using touch inputs, including map zoom.

• Choose from, and interact with, all 12 prize maps at any time, and exchange Prize Bulbs for unbeleafable rewards!

• Earn in-game coins only through play and spend them at the Rux Store to unlock cool customization items, characters, and perks.

Are there any microtransactions in the Nintendo Switch version? Will there be Rainbow Stars?

There are no Microtransactions in the Nintendo Switch version of the game. In-game coins can only be earned through play, by completing missions, challenges, and earning XP. Rainbow Stars will not be included in the Nintendo Switch version of the game.

Do I need an internet connection to play?

Nope! Giddy Park, Private Play mode, and PvE free-roam regions are all available offline. An internet connection is required for Giddy park Public, and PvP modes.

Do I need Nintendo Switch Online to play?

You only need Nintendo Switch Online to play online modes. You will need Nintendo Switch Online to play Giddy park Public, and PvP modes. All the rest of the game can be played offline without Nintendo Switch Online.

Will there be content updates to the game after launch?

All festivals and previous DLC are already in the game from launch. There will be no DLC or updates after launch.

How do I play with my friends?

Bring up the Main Menu and navigate to the “Friends” tab. Select the friend you would like to play with and choose “Invite to Group.” Once they accept, they will be brought to your server and in your group. You can have up to four people in one group.

Is there split-screen couch co-op in the Nintendo Switch version?

Split-screen couch co-op is not available on the Nintendo Switch version.

Will there be crossplay?

Crossplay will not be available on Nintendo Switch.

Can I carry over my progression from another console to the Nintendo Switch?

Since cross-play is not available, you will not be able to carry over your progression from another platform.
