How to Shoot Guns Effectively
Learn about becoming a better marksman in Battlefield V.
BillyEatWorld gives you an overview of the weapons you’ll be using in Battlefield™ V, as well as firing modes, recoil, and more.
There are seven weapon categories in the game, each with strengths and weaknesses and with differing ranges. For long-range fire, your best bets are the bolt-action and self-loading rifles. Assault rifles and machine guns are suited for mid-range combat, and for short range your top choices are submachine guns, shotguns, and your sidearms.
Aside from range, you’ll need to consider your weapon’s fire mode (single shot, semi-automatic, and fully automatic). And then there’s recoil: how much the barrel of your weapon will jerk either vertically or horizontally when you open fire. Fortunately, you can compensate for recoil with a little practice on your favorites.
One more element of gunplay is aiming down your sight; the mechanic is accessed by using the right mouse button on PC or left trigger on console. Once engaged, you’ll be able to use the weapon’s scope for greater accuracy at mid to long range. Aiming isn’t instantaneous, and while you’re staring down that sight your field of view will be limited.
A last piece of advice is to aim for the head or chest if you want to do maximum damage and take your enemies out of the fight faster.
