How to Heal Yourself and Revive Your Squadmates

Don’t want to end up on the casualty list? These are the tips you need.

Flakfire Gaming takes you through healing and revives in Battlefield™ V: Firestorm to help you be the last one standing.

Survival is the name of the game in Firestorm, so some of the most important items you can get your hands on are Healing Syrettes and Medical Syringes for you and your squad, and fuel and ammunition for your vehicles.

Aside from armor, Healing Syrettes are what keep you alive in Firestorm. They can be found scattered on the map and in Objectives. You’ll be able to carry up to eight Healing Syrettes in your inventory at a time. To use them, equip the Syrette and left-mouse click on PC or press the right trigger on your controller. The flashing bar in the middle of the screen will show you how much health you’ve recovered. Keep in mind that health is restored somewhat slowly, and there is a cooldown period before you can use your next one (see the timer on your inventory that will let you know when you can heal again).

Healing Syrettes can also be used on your squadmates: approach the injured ally, equip the item, and either left-mouse click or press the right trigger. It’s always a good idea to share the bounty when it comes to Healing Syrettes, so be sure to point them out to everyone on your team when you locate them or share your stock with those in need.

If a squadmate has been downed, you’ll need to revive them to bring them back into the fight. A buddy revive will take the most time, and during that period you will be vulnerable to attack, so plan them wisely. To revive, approach the downed soldier then press “E” on the keyboard, “X” on Xbox One, or Square on PlayStation® 4. A faster method is to use Medical Syringes, which will instantly revive your downed friends. To use one, approach your downed buddy, equip it, and left-mouse click on PC or press the right trigger on your controller.

If you’re downed in Firestorm, you’ll still be able to move; try to crawl towards your teammates to increase your chances of being revived. You can also use your sidearm while downed, giving you an opportunity to take at least a few shots at your enemies while waiting to be revived.

Vehicles require a little TLC in this mode, too. Once you’ve acquired a vehicle (by finding one on the map, calling one in with a Vehicle Drop flare, or opening a Vehicle Lockup) you’ll need to get your hands on both fuel and ammunition. Search around the vehicle for either Light or Heavy Ammo and Jerry Cans of fuel. To load either, equip the item and stand near the vehicle, then click the left mouse button on PC or the right trigger on your controller.
