Keeping Things Fair with EA anticheat System for PC
Protecting our players from exploits, cheats, and cheat developers.
At Electronic Arts, we believe in the power of positive play. Part of this is the belief that being part of a gaming community should be safe, fair, inclusive, and meaningful for everyone. When we say fair, we mean that we strive for our players to play our games without being disrupted by cheaters.
We know what it feels like to be in a game where victory is within reach, only to have it snatched away by somebody implementing cheats or other exploits. Cheating risks the fairness of the game for everyone, and we believe that competing - and winning - is much more satisfying when it’s based on your own skills.
That’s why, today, we’re excited to announce EA anticheat for PC, a new technology that lets us keep the game fair. EAAC will launch with FIFA 23 for PC and be included automatically with the game. We’ve released a technical FAQ to answer all your questions, but the most important thing to know is that EA anticheat helps us protect you from other gamers attempting to leverage exploits or cheats, while keeping your privacy as a priority.
As part of our ongoing commitment to our Positive Play Charter, EA anticheat will be a tool that all our games studios can use in future PC titles to ensure our games are able to be enjoyed in a safe, fair environment. As cheating behavior evolves in our games, we’re committed to enhancing EA anticheat to ensure fair play for our PC players. We ask that all players respect and understand our Positive Play Charter by:
✔ Understanding and playing within the rules of the game.
✔ Understanding that fair competition is in everyone’s best interest.
And not:
✖ Using exploits, cheats, undocumented features, design errors, bugs, or problems to get a leg up on others.
✖ Disturbing the peace or making it harder for someone else to play the game.
✖ Promoting or being involved in in-game currency buying / selling / farming.
✖ Offering to sell, buy, trade, or transfer your EA Account.
