Jwall Takes Home the Glory
Jwall repped his Detroit Lions with pride, winning the Madden 21 Club Championship.
Club Championship
The dust has settled on after an epic finish to the Madden NFL 21 Club Championship, and it’s clear there’s never been an MCS tournament quite like it. From start to finish, this tourney provided some of the best competitive Madden of recent memory
Each round delivered a new historic moment. Vets like Stiff and Gos made triumphant returns. Fresh faces like So Not Gucci, DatBoi, and Jonbeast made bracket-breaking upsets. There was not just one, but two games that went into overtime. Elite talent like Drini, XSET Joke, and Pavan became the first Madden pros to win an NFL Club four-straight years. Madden crew TNC flexed some serious muscle to show they’re THE hottest group in the business. The storylines were endless.
Oh, and who did we get to lead us into the final stretch of the Club? The Madden G.O.A.T. himself, Michael Vick! No player has ever led to more house rules or broken controllers as Vick, so it was a fitting lead into the last of the Club matches.
We’ll talk more about the epic Final matchups, but here are the games that lead into the Conference Finals.
Pavan (Raiders) defeated Noahupnxt (Patriots) 20-14
Jonbeast (Steelers) defeated Wesley (Texans) 28-20
AFC Final
Pavan puts an end to Jonbeast’s epic run
The beast known as Jon put together one of the best runs the MCS has ever seen. Occasionally, you’ll see unknown players make an impact with a win or two before running into a wall.
But not Jonbeast. He took down D3liverenc3, JoelCP, KMaC, XSET Joke, and Wesley at different points of the tournament. One of the biggest underdogs in the Club, Jonbeast showed tremendous skills with a stingy defense and dropped dots when he needed it.
However, some early mistakes cost him against Pavan. This forced Jonbeast to play a faster tempo than he’s used to. And when you play against Pavan, you can’t afford to play outside your game.
So Jon, if you’re reading this, do not let this loss to Pavan get to you. You had an amazing showing and a loss to Pavan is more like a right of passage at this point. Keep at it.
NFC Final
TNC owned the NFC
TNC wanted to make it known they're the best Madden crew out there. They made that point difficult to argue, as their dominance showed throughout the Club Championship. It’s only fitting that the NFC Final came down to two best friends and TNC reps, Jwall and Fancy.
Fancy had a tough road to walk to get here, narrowly escaping an OT contest with Gos and having to play another TNC crewmate in Dcroft. Fancy even faced some criticism that he labbed with Young Kiv, Dcroft’s biggest rival, to get ready for that match. In the end though, he needed to practice with someone and two of his best friends were still in the tourney at that point, so he didn’t have too many places to go. The other option was to simply not prepare for that game, and that’s a foolish notion considering how much money was on the line.
Jwall himself has had quite a year, winning other Madden tournaments and displaying dominant performances. Even when challenged, Jwall managed to snatch a victory in the final seconds against PoiZzon.
The game between Fancy and Jwall was a chess match from start to finish. These two had a deeper knowledge of each other’s tendencies more than most MCS games. This was a close one.
Club Championship Final
Could Pavan bring down Jwall?
It was a fantastic ending to what was an amazing tournament.
Pavan is elite status in the Madden community as one of the most successful competitors in recent years. Jwall was on a big-time hotstreak, having one of the better seasons of recent memory. So this one was going to come down to who blinked first.
Just watch it!
There we have it. The Madden NFL 21 Club Championship is in the books. Stay tuned for more MCS action!
