EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Global Series
By registering to compete in the EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Global Series, competitors agree to the EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Global Series Rules, which include the following:
- “As a FUT Champions Verified player, competitors may be held to a higher standard than other players, and may face higher levels of penalties than they would otherwise.”
Competitors must meet the standard of conduct that is reflected in our EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Global Series Rules and Code of Conduct.
The EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Global Series Rules and Code of Conduct allow for disciplinary action on players determined to be in violation per Section 3.10:
- “Any Player may be disqualified immediately from the EA SPORTS FIFA Global Series and further competitions, at the discretion of EA or its designees, for any reason, including for any failure to comply with the User Agreement, Privacy & Cookie Policy, Code of Conduct (see Appendix A).” Further, the Penalties section of the Code of Conduct allows for punishment up to and including Disqualification from the EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Global Series and future competitions.
The following actions are being taken against players for the EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Global Series Official Rules and Code of Conduct violations.

Penalty:
Disqualification from all EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Global Series competition and any future events scheduled beyond this season -- effective immediately.
Events Missed:
All future EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Global Seriescompetitive events and beyond.
Explanation:
Disqualified for repeated EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Global Series Code of Conduct violations which followed a “Final Warning” and a suspension from EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Global Series for misconduct.
EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Global Series Misconduct:
- October 18, 2018: Received a two-month, five qualifier suspension for EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Global Series Code of Conduct violations related to an August 30, 2018 video posted by the player.
- March 25, 2019: Received a “Final Warning” for behavior at the EA SPORTS FIFA 19 FUT Champions Cup Atlanta event indicating that further player Code of Conduct violations could result in additional and escalated disciplinary actions.
EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Global Series Misconduct:
- October 10, 2019: Multiple EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Global Series Code of Conduct violations for video content posted by the player.
- October 19, 2019: Multiple EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Global SeriesCode of Conduct violations for video content posted by the player.
The EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Global Series Code of Conduct violations which cover the behaviors the player is being disqualified for are:
- “Publishing, posting, uploading or distributing content, or organizing/participating in any activity, group or guild that EA (acting reasonably and objectively) determines is inappropriate, abusive, hateful, harassing, profane, defamatory, threatening, obscene, sexually explicit, infringing, privacy-invasive, vulgar, offensive, indecent or unlawful;”
- Specifically, posting or uploading materials that we have determined are abusive, harassing, and vulgar.

Two qualifier suspension from the EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Global Series.
Events Missed:
- FUT Champions Cup Stage II online qualifier
- FUT Champions Cup Stage III online qualifier
Explanation:
Suspended in response to encouraging experienced players to avoid match-making at the same time as the player to gain a competitive advantage.
Specifically, the EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Global Series Code of Conduct violation for which the player is being suspended is:
- “...colluding with other players in playing games”
Additional Cases
Harassment as part of a coordinated effort to match with streamers during the Weekend League, unrelated to a competitive advantage, was also investigated. Final Warnings for those confirmed to have taken part in these activities were issued and cover future instances of similar behavior.
