F1® 2021 - Podium Pass Series 5

Podium Pass Series 5 is starting off with something special. For the first time in F1^® game franchise history, you can equip the special white Red Bull Racing Arigato team livery as seen at the 2021 Turkish Grand Prix to your Player Car. It’s now available to select in My Team, Grand Prix, Split-Screen, Time Trial and Multiplayer.

That's not all we have for you in Podium Pass Series 5. Last time out, we unveiled items inspired by creators Aarava, Terroriser, and Pieface. In this Series, you'll be able to unlock items inspired by Tiametmarduk, DJMariio and MaximeMXM in the free tier.

Fans of Tiametmarduk will recognise his channel logo and iconic purple, black, and gold colour scheme from his Career mode. If you're an avid follower of MaximeMXM, you’ll notice that her real-life helmet inspired the virtual version, and our DjMaRiiO-inspired designs draw on his love for the yellow and black liveries the Renault F1 Team ran up until 2020.

As the lights go out on Series 5, we spoke to Tiametmarduk and MaximeMXM.

Tiametmarduk

Hey Tiametmarduk, would you mind talking us through your set of items?

My items feature my channel logo, clothing brand, and in-game career mode team ‘Marduk Motorsport’. Each element is tied in with a purple, black and gold colour scheme, which fits with what I’ve been using for my own team since F1^® 2020. I love the little details that have gone into each piece, like the TMDK sticker bomb and the hidden easter eggs on the car.

What were your inspirations?

I’ve always been a fan of the colour purple, especially on cars. Some of my inspiration has come from McLaren and other supercars, but the biggest has been Lewis Hamilton. In Abu Dhabi 2020 he ran a purple, black and gold design which looked gorgeous as a colour combination.

What are you most looking forward to when these go live?

Seeing everyone’s reactions to the items. There’s something so exciting about having a creation brought to life! Personally, I can’t wait to try it out in my Career and Road to Master Rank Series. I hope players enjoy the items and I look forward to seeing them in-game.

Maxime MXM

Hi MaximeMXM! Could you talk us through your set of items?

The set of items represents me and my style! It’s incredible to see my items and logo in the official F1^® game. I never dared to dream that this would happen in my life.

What inspirations did you have for these?

The helmet is inspired by my real-life race helmet. The livery is a mix of my favourite liveries of all time. Like some of the Red Bull test liveries! Besides that, some other details were added to represent the Netherlands.

What are you most looking forward to when these go live?

 I’m looking forward to seeing the reactions from my community! It was already an honour to be in ‘My Team’ with a social media profile, but to have your own livery in the game is next level! I want to thank everyone for their support. Without them, this wouldn’t be possible.

DjMaRiiO

Hi, DjMaRiiO – could you tell us what your inspirations were for your items?

I always liked the contrast between black and yellow, perhaps partly due to Renault's livery a few years ago – so you could say that's what's inspired my items.

What are you most looking forward to when these go live?

I hope that people like the set a lot, and I'd love to be able to see their in-game screenshots playing with them!

Each creator has inspired their stunning set, including livery, helmet, gloves, and suit, all available for you to unlock in the Podium Pass free tier and take out on track.

However you prefer to spend your time in F1^® 2021, you'll be able to increase your XP, quickly race through the tier and unlock these incredible items. There are eight weeks to complete Podium Pass Series 5, so you have plenty of time to put your foot down and get into gear. Don't forget your XP and tier progress will be reset at the beginning of each Series.
